Besides of innovation, human resource has been recognized as an important source of corporate sustaining competitive advantage in the age of rapid development of technology and intense competition of market. High performance work systems (HPWS) can increase employees' ability, skill, and motivation, and improve employees' performance and organizational performance in step. However, only a few studies have explored the relationship of high performance work systems (HPWS) and employees' performance, and the possible mediating and moderating mechanism of it.The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship of high performance work systems (HPWS) and employees' task performance, contextual performance, adaptive performance, and innovation performance, and to probe the possible mediating and moderating effects of knowledge sharing and organizational learning climate among them.Data was collected from 536 employees in 57 corporations addressed in Nanjing, Shenzhen, Yancheng, Changzhou. After the work of recoding and transforming the data, internal consistency reliability analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were proceeded to examine the reliability and the validity of the scales, while correlation and regression analyses were conducted to discover the relationships among the variables. The results showed the following:(1) high performance work systems (HPWS) can improve employees' task performance, contextual performance, adaptive performance and innovation performance; (2) the relationship of high performance work systems (HPWS) and employees' performance is partially mediated by employees' knowledge sharing behavior, and moderated by organizational learning climate.
