ABSTRACT: Along with the speeding up of the progress of economic globalization and the fierce development of science and technology, today's market competition is gradually vigorous, and presents the internationalization and holistic trend. What's more, it will be the competition among the supply chains. For the sake of getting development in this competition environment, enterprises have realized the importance of supply chain management, and have to break the traditional management way and adopt new management mode. Inventory management is one of the important parts in the supply chain management. At present many enterprises, who use the traditional inventory management, can not meet the changing market demand well. So they must transform to adopt new inventory management way under supply chain environment.According to the actual case information, this paper first explains the traditional inventory management mode which is used by the enterprise of this case. In order to solve the enterprise's problem, this paper puts forward that it should adopt JMI mode. Because the traditional analytical model can not solve the problem in supply chain system which has complex, dynamic, nonlinear and random characteristic well, so this paper uses simulation modeling technology-the system dynamics method to study the traditional inventory management and JMI. Firstly, theirs'concept models are established; then cause-effect relationships are analyzed; lastly simulation models are set up. This paper applies the simulation software Anylogic to simulate these two management mode. Then it studies the simulation results and points out the deficiency of the traditional inventory management and the advantage of JMI. Finally this paper makes further analysis about JMI, studies the main parameters of this mode, and offers some suggestions.This paper applies general SD analysis to study real-world enterprise's inventory problem, and puts forward the solution. Through conducting multi-solution simulation analysis and analysis of simulation results, this paper tries to offer effective suggestions in inventory optimization for the enterprise from the perspective of supply chain management.
