Credit card is a kind of advanced paying and settlement tool. At present both the government and the commercial banks are making much effort to push on electronic finance, so the use of credit card is increasingly much more common. With the clients' groupe becoming more and more large, the development of credit card is changing from a rough pattern to a intensive pattern, and more and more data mining technologies will be applied to credit card business. For a great mount data comes into being in clients' applying and using credit card, it is necessary for the banks issuing card to creat an effective clients classifying model through data mining and other kinds of technology. This paper will probe our country's intensive credit card business via data mining's positivistic verifying analysis. The main contents are the followings:1. put forward a transforming concept of the developmental stage of our country's credit card busines is changing from a rouch pattern to a intensive pattern. With the rapid development recently, the data on the size of our country's credit card's clients, the clients'information and activites cumulate effectively, and data mining technoloty will be very common in all sorts of banks.2.review the status quo of applying data mining technoloty in and out our country, analysize data mining technoloty's chief funcations, common methods and the major procedure, and gain some theoretic and practical knowledge concerning Stata and SAS analysis system.3. analyze the data mining technology's application in credit card business's management, including market expanding management and risk management.4. reseach the credit card using period of the clients, including potential, sleeping, active and outflow clients, which is the base of building a model analysis.5. construct a classifying pattern of the credit card clients by data mining technique and on the basis of the characteristics of the clients; analyze the important factors influencing the credit card's sleeping and active condition through Stata logic regress analsis method, and the focus is to model application treatment of sleeping and active clients in order to deal with the problem of the low activity of account in credit card busines and less response in clients'marketing.
