Hui is one of the larger minority ethnic groups in our country. Yunnan Hui began the process of localization of the Hui since the Hui enter Yunnan Province from Yuan dynasty. Because of its own culture and the environment, Yunnan Hui gradually take into account the economic type with agricultural, industrial and commercial. In order to compensate for the pressure of the survival, except taking up agriculture, the hard-working Yunnan Muslims overtake caravan, and the manual production activities. This manual economic is the prototype of the Yunnan Hui handicraft.Like other folk handicrafts, Yunnan Muslim handicraft condensate the history and culture of local ethnic minority areas. At the same time, the handicraft also plays an important role to solve the problem of national livelihood. Traditionally, the family is the main unit in proceeding of the Yunnan Hui handicraft. However, the production and exchange of handicraft are related to the construction of economic and cultural patterns of ethnic communities, which make family-centered social relations across the range of the community and form a complex network.In this context, the paper takes Nagu as field cases. The effect of the Nagu hui handicraft on the family and social relation is analyzed. From the analysis of the case, the importance role of national handicraft on economic development of national regional and building family and social relations is found out.Nagu was known as a famous "handicraft town" in the modern history. People began manual production since Yuan Dynasty, which made an important contribution for Nagu economic and social development. From the perspective of anthropology, the production and exchange of handicraft is analyzed based on the "social integration model". The effect of the production and exchange on the craftsmen's family and social relation is investigated. At the same time, the handicrafts move among the community and cross-community, which reconstructed characteristic cultural patterns in Nagu community, to adjust and restructure the social relation including kinship relations in the handicrafts. Islam and economic thoughts of Islamic culture have an important influence during the production and exchange process of Nagu handicrafts industry. Nagu handicrafts are both traditional and modern, the adjustment and reconstruction of tradition in modern are just inexhaustible power in the sustainable development of Nagu handicraft industry.
