Abstract/Summary:
Since the1990s, global service outsourcing industry is developing rapidly, especially software outsourcing industry. The rapid development of software outsourcing has been a new point of economic growth for many countries. For instance, the India's value of software outsourcing has exceeded6%of GDP. Since the beginning of the21st century, more and more Chinese enterprises joint the industry with the vigorous development of software outsourcing. As a result, China's software outsourcing has been developing rapidly and playing an important role in the whole software industry. Moreover, with the software park including Beijing Zhongguancun Software Park, Dalian Software Park and so on as its most important form, the China's software industry agglomeration is an obvious phenomenon and increasingly attracting more attention. This article aims at researching the impact of software outsourcing on software industry agglomeration. This article can be divided into three parts. The first part contains Chapter1and Chapter2. which is to describe the literatures, definition and current situation of software outsourcing and industry agglomeration in order to pave the way for the later research. Moreover, the part includes the framework, innovation and inadequacies of the article. The second part contains Chapter3-5, which analyze the impact of software outsourcing on software industry agglomeration from the perspective of theories, empirical and case. The impact of software outsourcing on software industry agglomeration refers to three paths, which are economies of scale effect, technology spillovers effect and elements accumulation effect. The article finds that the impacts of three paths for software industry agglomeration are different. In addition, the article takes the India as an example to come up with the inspiration for China on the development of software outsourcing industry. The last part contains Chapter6, which puts forward to suggestions on the development of China's software outsourcing industry and the rational use of software industry agglomeration on the basis of previous analysis.
