Navigation technology has a long history of development, but systematic navigationtechniques, such as celestial navigation appeared after the human civilization. In celestialnavigation, inertial navigation and GPS navigation are two kinds of navigation technologythat people are very familiar with. The inertial navigation comprised by the gyroscope andaccelerometer, the navigation device with great precision, high cost, and the navigation erroraccumulated over time. GPS has high accuracy, all-weather, global coverage, low cost,convenient and flexible characteristics, so it has been widely used. Because GPS differentialtechnology matures, the GPS carrier phase measurement positioning technology researchhas gradually become a new hotspot in the study of GPS.The initial integer ambiguity solution in the air is the core of ship orientationtechnology based on the carrier phase. Through analyzing all kinds of ambiguity resolutionmethod for analysis and comparison, this paper proposed a fast integer ambiguity resolutionalgorithm suited to ship orientation—LAMBDA algorithm. The algorithm performance isbetter, has a more perfect oretical system, able to quickly establish the initial integerambiguity search space, can meet the real-time requirement in ship navigation. In this paper,Baseline vector is the direct solution object in ship orientation.This paper adopts a ARM9development board, a7Inch Touch screen, two types oflow cost Thales AC12OEM GPS receiver and GPS receiver, two supporting the disc typeantenna, power supply and so on. Baseline vector of ship orientation based on carrier phaseis constituted by two connected GPS signal receiving antennas.Cycle slip detecting and repairing is vital for stability and reliability of carrier phasedirectional technology, and successful repair can achieve a more accurate results. This papercombines the advantages of a variety of cycle slip detection and repair algorithms, and apreliminary discussion of the cycle slip detection and repair algorithms suitable forship-oriented.This paper is based on the Platform Builder5.0integrated development platform ofcustomized Windows CE5.0embedded operating system, using VC integrated developmentenvironment to complete oriented software design. After the processing of the data and thealgorithm solution, obtained two-dimensional attitude angle, prove the feasibility of thealgorithm.
