University physics education plays an important role in the education of engineering high school. University physics foundation course is not only the basis of professional courses, but also the key in improving students’scientific quality. With the advancement of current higher education university and the reform of subjects in college entrance examination, there is a growing demand on the revolution of University physics education foundation course, in order to adapt to the development of the curriculum reform and meet the students’learning needs. By these reforms we can put college education to the wider heaven and earth.Nowadays, there are serious difficulties in the teaching and learning of university physics education in engineering schools, which are related to the three reasons as following, firstly, as a basic course, university physics education is not as practical as the professional courses, which is difficult to enthusiasm the students’study; Secondly, the university physics course concentrates on theory, of which teaching and experimental study are separated, this is difficult to arouse the students’interest of study; Thirdly, the spoon-feed teaching of teachers restricts the students’own subjective initiative, studies independently ability, and the development of students’innovation ability.First, the results of engineering colleague students’questionnaires show that the present research accords with the current college physics teaching situation, and the reform of college physics teaching is of both practical value and theoretical reference, where the suggestions of the present work were also proved by the questionnaires results. The present investigation was conducted on the three possible reasons discussed above, where the factors influencing the students’learning interest and learning effect were discussed based on the difference of university physics education and high school education. There also discussed about the suggestions on improving university physics teaching both from presentation and examination.
