The islands of Zhou Shan new district which was established provide hithertounknown opportunities to the high speed development of Zhou Shan economy. The keyto economic development of Zhou Shan new district is the development of marine economy.How to make use of Zhou Shan unique geographical advantages to develope and utilizemarine resources rationally, so as to serve the economic construction of Zhou Shan newarea, has become an urgent and important thing.Remote sensing technology is a complete technology system whose scope is fromground to space, from the information collection, storage, transmission and processing tothe analysis judgment and application, with the characteristics of wide area, timeliness,comprehensiveness, comparability, economy and so on. Compared with the traditionalground survey, remote sensing technology not only saves a large amount of manpower,material resources, but also can get large area synchronized observation data, so there isnothing comparable to this.This thesis firstly analyzes the various Zhou Shan feature of marine resources, mainlynatural resources, port resources, the characteristics of the tourism resources; secondly, byusing the literature material law, combining the method of qualitative and quantitativeanalysis the thesis introduces the importance of and the way to use remote sensingtechnology to help explore the marine resources, especially the remote sensing technologyin Zhou Shan fishery resources monitoring, ocean dynamic environment monitoring,coastal resource development, marine tourism resources development and distributionapplications. In particular, the thesis focuses on the advantages of the remote sensingtechnology in ocean dynamic environment monitoring and marine tourism resourcesplanning and layout, and other aspects. The results show that, the remote sensingtechnology in dynamic monitoring of marine resources and tourism resources and otheraspects of the planning has great application value, which is becoming a supportingtechnology to the development of marine resource. The author hopes that this thesis couldprovide some reference to the future development of the islands of Zhou Shan and marineeconomy of other areas.
