Momoge nature reserve is situatd at the the western edge of the Songnen plain, which is an important stopover of the north and south migration for cranes. Also it is a significance national nature reserve. Since experts and scholars at home and abroad attached great importance to birds resource of Momoge reserve in recent years, specially the crane, it is rich in the resources. Nine species of cranes were recorded in China, six of them seen here, it is one of the largest reserve for crane. It is an important breeding and stopover grounds for migratory birds. It was called as "birds paradise", Siberian Crane as a kind of migratory birds stops in Momoge Nature Reserve. The foraging habitat was investigated in Momoge National Nature Reserve in Spring and Autumn,2010. Collectting the data uses the observation, sampling methods, combining with statistic methods,70samples were recorded with1m×1m. Habitat factors were determined in type, height, coverage, density of vegetation, and depth and flow of water etc. Conbinationg of T-test, principal component analysis, distances correlation analysis and so on. Based on the principal component analysis, find the main influencing factors for Siberian Crane habitat-selection. The results showed that:During Spring and Autumn’s differences of plant types in foraging habitat of Siberian Crane was not obvious. The results showed that the main vegetables included in Scirpus planiculmis, Echinochloa crusgalli, Chloris uirgata, Scirpus fluviatilis, Scirpus tabernaemontani, Phragmites australis etc. in feeding habitats in Momoge Natural Reserve. The average height of vegetables was52cm, average density was higher than100ind./m2, coverage was75%. The results showed that the main vegetables included in Scirpus planiculmis, Echinochloa crusgalli, Scirpus fluviatilis, Scirpus tabernaemontani, Phragmites australis, Typha orientalis, Eragrostis pilosa, Salsola collina pall etc. The average height of vegetables was98cm, eaverage density was higher than100ind./m2, ecoverage was75%. According to the survey in the field, the main food of Siberian Crane was Scirpus planiculmis, and like to feed in lower density vegetable area.
