Corrugated sandwich plates is a kind of composite structure, consists of two flats for top and bottom and sandwich corrugated plat. This structure has a higher strength-weight ratio than ordinary flat, has been used in civil engineering, aerospace, shipbuilding and packaging engineering. Due to the characteristics of material are light and thin, when under extreme loads, it is easy to failure by the large deformation, so it is necessary to make further research. In this paper, the mesh-free Galerkin method is used for the geometric nonlinear analysis of corrugated-core sandwich plates, the research status of meshless methods have been summarized, and it further details the mesh-free Galerkin method and discusses the construction of the approximate shape functions and the choice of the basis functions and the weight functions, and the determination of the size of the compact supports. Based on the first-order shear deformation (FSDT), it structures the shape functions by the moving-least square approximation. The stress and strain expression of each plate is obtained according von Karman’s large deflection theory after taking the nonlinear factors into account, then the virtual strain energy formulation equilibrium equation for the structure is obtained by the virtual work principle. Here, it uses the full transformation method to enforce the essential boundary conditions and the nonlinear equilibrium equation for the entire corrugated sandwich plate is established by the displacement coordination conditions, and employs the Newton-raphson method to solve nonlinear equations. The proposed method can avoid the problems of remesh and mesh disorder in FEM.The C++prepared to the calculator program in the paper, corresponding with the new calculation format, and sets lots of examples. The results are compared with the FEM results. The results of the proposed are compared with the FEM from ANSYS (using shell181) in several examples, which prove the accuracy of the method.
