With the rapid economic development, people’s living standards are gettingbetter and better. As the government continues to increase investment in the people’slivelihood projects, it pays more attention to the safety of these projects. Theseprojects’ safety and quality are top priority; therefore, it’s necessary to explorate andevaluate the area’s hydrology and environmental geology during before thepre-construction. The shallow seismic reflection method is widely used due to itsfeature of wave impedance differences in the formation or construction. Shallowseismic reflection method is not only applied in the pre-engineering survey, but also inthe assessment of ground subsidence and geotechnical landslide. Although the seismicreflection method has been the conventional engineering investigation and effectivegeophysical methods, but in practical applications, it can’t match well with thegeological data, distinguish the geological layers or define the range of small faults. Inorder to get a better geophysical data, it is necessary to analyse the factors whichaffect the resolution of reflection wave and improve the resolution of the reflectedwave techniques. From the point of seismic exploration and the basic theory, this article finds outthat it’s the frequency and bandwidth which affect the resolution of the reflectionwave. To improve the resolution of the seismic records, it must improve the seismicwave frequency and broaden the bandwidth. Data acquisition is very important in theshallow seismic exploration; it will affect the quality and accuracy of the dataprocessing and interpretation. For that reason, this article discusses the conditionsneeded for arousing seismic waves and the rules for selecting the receiving device. Indata processing section, this article focus on the analysis of one-dimensional filteringand inverse filter, specifically the principle of inverse filter, how to compress the high-resolution of wavelet and its main parameters. Finally, combined with two engineering examples, the reflection wave resolutionis proved useful for geological structure and landslides prevention.
