| Ranking of fuzzy numbers plays an important role in decision making. So far, scholars athome and abroad have defined more than forty ranking indexes from different angles. Andbecause fuzzy numbers are in the semi-order, the existing methods have more or lessshortcomings. These is no well recognized method for ranking fuzzy numbers, therefore itbrings a broader space for further research. This paper proposed a new method of rankingfuzzy numbers which is based on the expected value of fuzzy number and central abscissa,and got a rather satisfying result.The main works of this paper are as follows:1.Introduce the background and current status of ranking fuzzy numbers.2.Summarize theory of fuzzy number. Introduce three kinds of ranking criterions and itsapplication of fuzzy numbers.3.Propose a new ranking criterion and its application of fuzzy number.4.Illustrate the new ranking criterion by numerical examples.5.Finally, summarize the new ranking criterion we proposed, and the direction for furtherdiscussion. |
