Bangonghu-Nujiang porphyry copper belt was located in Bangonghu-Nujiangsuture zone, which is a newly found porphyry copper belt in northern Tibet, followingthe Yulong porphyry copper belt in eastern Tibet and Gangdese copper belt insouthern Tibet. At present, Ga’erqiong Cu-Au deposit is the first large-scale Cu-Audeposit reaching to detailed investigation in Bangonghu-Nujiang suture zone. Inrecent years, some supper-large Au-rich porphyry copper deposits were found in thewestern part of Bangonghu-Nujiang belt, such as Duobuzha deposit. Still, as far as thewestern part of Bangonghu-Nujiang belt considered, except Ga’erqiong andDuobuzha deposit with researched unprofoundly, there is little report about specificresearching report of other deposits.Through a large number of field geological mapping, cataloging trenches, adits,drilling to the systemicly and collecting and identificating polished thin sections, thisarticle summarized the geological features, shape of mineralized body, occurrence,output environment, alteration of wall rock and the main ore-controlling factors ofGa’erqiong Cu-Au deposit. Combined with previous research results, such asgeochronology, geochemistry, metallogenetic substance tracing to the source, and soon, the ore-controlling information of the deposit is proposed and the the mode ofmineralization is summarized, which the metallogenetic feature is closely linked tothe genesis of potassic basalt-high K calc-alkaline diorite rock, the continent-continent collision potassic basalt-high K calc-alkaline remelting granite porphyry,with the main ore-body growed in the porphyry, skarn, tectonic fracture, forming to“porphyry-skarn-IOCG-like” Cu-Au deposit. By collecting a large quantity ofregional and mine data and reports, especially on the basis of collecting and sorting rock (soil), stream sediment survey and high-precision magnetic survey and inducedpolarization measurement data, combining with geological mapping in the miningarea and the results of the exploration engineering, after analyses, so I proposed thegeological-geochemical exploration model, geological-geophysical explorationmodel and prospecting criteria of Ga’erqiong deposit. Finally, the geology-geophysics-geochemical exploration synthesis model of Ga’erqiong Cu-Au depositis established.
