The submersible buoy system, which was developed in1950s, is working infixed ocean areas and depth. As an important observation carrier of marine hydrology, underwater and marine geology monitoring devices, they have many specialadvantages, such as long observation period, good concealed and stable performance, less vulnerable to the influence meteorological conditions. They can work for fixedpoint and multiple parameters profile observation and have played an important rolein marine understanding and development. The dynamic response of submersible buoy and its mooring is great differentfrom the large floating structure system. The mooring line that excited by the oceancurrent may result in the submersible buoy system generates coupling dynamicresponse, which will lead the devices that carried on the system can’t workabnormally.Since that some submersible buoy with single point tightens mooring reactsmuch too intensively under ocean current that testing devices equipped on it couldn’twork normally. Based on the prior sea trial vibration data analysis of the submersiblebuoy, the cause of its intensive responses are analyzed and speculated preliminarily, after that the field experiment plan is designed. With analysis of the experimental data, the coupling dynamic characteristics are understood and the reason that causes testingdevices work abnormally is learned. Analysis results suggest that the transverse vertexinduced vibration of mooring line leads to its vertical stretching, which is the mainreason of the submersible buoy’s vibration. The author also learned that the mainreason that testing devices work abnormally is the vertical vibration of thesubmersible buoy.Based on field test results, the author designed a tank experiment to simulatethe influence the mooring line, which is excited by sea current, made on submersiblebuoy. In this experiment, elastic vibration reduction pieces with different parametersare used between the buoy and its mooring line. A discussion on how to optimize theway of vibration reduction is made by change the pathway of vibration transmission or other system parameters(such as net buoyance), and a proper system parameter isachieved. This research could provide a vibration optimization reference for similarbuoys.
