In this paper, the progress analysis South-to-North Water Diversion haracteristicsand research progress on underground reservoirs at home and abroad,on the basis ofthat Hutuo underground reservoir building facing the following problems to be solved:1.the necessity of construction of the Hutuo underground reservoir;2. the reservoirthehighest water level, how to scientifically determine the boundary of the reservoir areaand the highest water level as groundwater level landing funnel undergroundreservoir;3.infiltration field site and the infiltration capacity, the Hutuo undergroundreservoir infiltration field choose what are the limits of appropriateinfiltration field,where, and how the scientific evaluation of the infiltration capacity of the infiltrationfield;4.divert river water volume and storage effect, how to determine, if it can citedin the river adjustable volume of water regulation and storage effect, as quoted in theriver adjustable storage capacity is how to determine the meet the constraints of theReservoir Area and achieve required, if it affect the underground construction, how tocontrol on the groundwater level.In the thesis through in-depth study of the first phase of the middle routeSouth-to-North water diversion ‘s water runoff characteristics and uncertainty, fromhydrogeological conditions ‘s evolution of the process to start, take full advantage ofthe rich results of large-scale infiltration experiments, and investigate, hydrologyanalysis, hydrogeological analysis, analogy, ArcGIS, the GMS, Modflow in methodsand techniques, and cited several key issues in the river the Hutuo undergroundReservoir Operation conducted a systematic study and submit a building Hutuoheunderground reservoir water supply to ensure it’s necessary for South-to-North WaterDiversion; to determine the status quo groundwater table cone of depression as areservoir boundary, in1980the groundwater level as the highest water level in theengineering constraints; Chang Shih-high-speed-the section of river between theinverted siphon as an infiltration field infiltration capacity of large-scale infiltrationtest results; determine the infiltration field appropriate to the scale of construction tomeet the annual Diverted River Regulating the occasion of the year need to establishthe numerical model of the underground reservoir regulation and storage, regulationand storage effects were simulated; After that regulation can basically meet thereservoir engineering constraints; Put forward water resources comprehensivemanagement measures and the underground water level regulation and controlmeasures, and gives the benefit assessment, the use of Hutuo River groundwaterreservoir regulation of river water is feasible, has very important social, economic andenvironmental benefits, as the Hutuo River groundwater reservoir construction andoperation and management with important basis.
