The Research Of Relief Shading System And Its Key Technologies Of Emergency Mapping Support

Emergency mapping support in the future information warfare is becoming increasinglyimportant, who has a super-class skills and capabilities to protect emergency mapping, whoeverhas the information advantage, also mastered the initiative in war. With the current emergencymapping support to the integration, globalization, diversity and its various thematic mappingproducts, DEMand is increasing. Shading is the thematic mapping products, especially thematicmapping products generated flat landscape the main method of three-dimensional effect, whichsurface is rich in content, an intuitive easy to read, the application of a wide range of producersand users has been widely welcomed and attention, the emergency mapping support has becomean indispensable product.To meet the requirements of the emergency mapping support and to solve the problem ofthe topography shading technology, this paper study the optimization methods and implementthe approaches of the application of the shading technology in the emergency mapping supportwith the analysis of the DEM data. Paper presentetyd the concept of thetopography shading ofthe emergency mapping support, analyse the fundamental basic and principle of the topographyshading theory, explains the fundamental framework,main function model and data structure ofthe system designing. It discusses four key technologies of topography shading of emergencymapping support such as the technology of different scale DEM data integration, the technologyof the special topography shading, the design and control technology of the color scheme systemconstruction, the quick production of the super-large image shading. It explains thecharacteristics of each technology, solutions and specific implementation. At last, with thetechnology above,it has designed and implemented the proptotype of the emergency mappingsupport topography shading hill.The system has play an important role in the production of theprovincial Atlas32K31provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions shaded landscape,Shandong Province Atlas32K sub-prefecture-level city relief shading and cross-provincialmilitary shaded topography map in the Planet Map Publishing House. Especially in theemergence relief support of Yushu and5.12Wenchuan earthquake, the system has played apositive role.It has produced the shading hill map of "the Special Relief Map" and "the Map ofWenchuan and Surrounding Areas ", vividly performed the feature of the region topography.
