Research On Building Digital City Platform Based On ArcGIS Engine

With the development of the digital city,digital city system is facing seriouschallenges in many aspects.Such as dealing with information silos, three-dimensionaldisplay problems,reprogramming problems and insufficient sevirce resources.Basedon the analysis of problems above,the paper trying to figure out a way to solve theproblems.First,elaborate the background concepts of the digital city,digital citydevelopment and digital city programming platform and design the function of thedigital city system and network structure;Second, research key technologies on thedigital city system related,such as cache mechanism, memory mechanism, Peer toPeer network model and Open API;Then,program the designed digital city systembased on ArcGIS Engine and dotNet.Finally,summarize the the content of the studyand point out the technology to be studied.The main content of the thesis are:1.Creation of digital city geographic information spatial data and3D model diskcache and the management of three-dimensional data memory.2. Design andImplementation of the network topology, transmission and sharing of disk cache,Digital City platform functions, user interface and interaction.3. Combination ofdigital city geographic information system resources and Internet resources.Theinnovation of the paper is to put forward using both client-server structure andhybrid peer-to-peer network structure to manage the data stream and balance thenetwork load at the same time according to the type of data in the3D digital citysystem;Focus on the design of the user interface and interaction and utilize third-partycomponent library to enhance user-friendly;Transmission and sharing of the diskcache on peer to peer structure on the basis of dotNet remoting technology anddata-compression open source library;Combine Internet resources and geographicinformation resources to solve insufficient resources of Digital City.The paper designand implement the digital city system and the test platform initially solved theproblems faced by current digital city system applications, but there are also many deficiencies, will further improve in future studies.
