In the process of mud-logging guide, using visual processing technology to transform abstract data into intuitive and visual maps to help mud-logging guiders to analyze stratum feature, determine the target stratum and put forward reasonable guiding opinions. At present, in most Mudlogging geosteering systems graphical user interface generally consists of one or several2D graphics windows to visualize spatial data, interpretations and modelling output. The overall stratum structure and distribution of reservoirs can not be completely and accurately shown. Therefore, it is urgently to build three-dimensional geological model of the target Stratum to provide more intuitive information. The method of building a3D geological model based on logging data of actual project is researched in this paper. It has theoretical significance and practical value for digital drilling and intelligent Mud-logging.In the geological model described in this article, a geologic formation is bounded by3-dimensional triangulated surfaces based on the triangulated irregular network. Geomodelling involves the following steps:Fisrtly, geological data such as depth, slanting angle, azimuth, wellhead coordinates and observations etc., which are get during the actual drilling process, are preliminary interpretation as discrete points. As these points are insufficient to cover the whole stratum, some points are added and kriging interpolation algorithm is used to calculate the values of properties of new added points. Secondly three-dimensional geological layers are constructed by using of triangulation algorithm to connect discrete points. Then the shortest diagonal stitching algorithm is adopted to form the geological body.In this paper, the contruction method, the architecture design, module design and data structure of3D geological model on oil drilling target stratum are introduced. The system is built with C++and OpenGL graphics interface. The measured data provided by a project is used to verify the correctness of the results.
