In recent years, optimizing the supply chain has been gaining many people’s attention with its wild use in the daily life. Along with the development of the economy and its wild range, the competitions among the producers are more and more serious. And the modes among corporations are changing from the model of corporation to corporation to the model of supply chain to supply chain. So that the operating effect of a company which is the element of a supply chain not only just impact the company’s profit but also has an effect on every element in the chain. For producers in terms of this situation, it is critically important to find the suitable suppliers. Choosing a good supplier has many benefits for the producer, including decreasing the cost of trade and decreasing the risk of trade. Besides it will have a strong effect on the producer’s repute which will have an influence on the future development of the producer. If the suppliers chosen can’t produce the required quantities of customs that the producer requires in the certain time, it may lead the producer to pay much dedit so that the producer will suffer tremendous loss. Every producer has its own criterions to select suppliers, however, the ultimate targets are almost similar, that is decreasing the cost as much as possible, decreasing the risk of trade as much as possible and increasing the revenue to the maximal limit. This paper mainly concerns the benefit of the producers and analyzes the suppliers to achieve the operating target of the producers from the view of the producers. In this paper, a model will be made in the make-to-order environment using the method of integer program and considering the quantity discount and trade assessment to evaluate the certain suppliers in order to choose the most suitable suppliers to make deals with the producer. After that, a model considering the inventory cost will be made to assess the suppliers’ performances in certain range. The indexes are similar to them which are used in the make-to-order environment and then an example will be given to illustrate the distribution of the customs that are necessary to the orders. At the Last of this paper, the method combing the neural network and genetic algorithm will be adopted to study the supplier selection problem, First, the neural network will be used to assess the suppliers in the certain range according to the producer’s standards and then the genetic algorithm will be used to dispatch the order according to each supplier’s capability and the quantity of the customs that the producer demands. This method mainly concerns the industry that the customs are not integer units such as industries who make wine, who produce the oil and who purchase the grain and so on. This paper gives examples to prove the rationality and the feasibility of the models in every situation. And the results demonstrate the valuation of the study.
