The digital simulation platform (DSP) for high-speed train (HST) is mainly composed of HST digital simulation system, HST virtual prototype, HST model design center, virtual training center for HST navigating and hardware supporting system for HST system simulation. The HST-DSP is to establish the digital simulation system (DSS) which takes HST as the core and takes account of the coupling among bow net, wheel track and fluid-solid, so as to complete the simulation of HST system dynamics. The coupled simulation of the DSS involves train control, traction power supply, engineering affairs and some other professional data. This makes the DSS involve various kinds of data with different formats which results in challenges in data organization, manage, access and application. In terms of data complexity in HST-DSP, this paper sorts the spatial data used in the simulation platform (SP) according to data requirement. We divide the spatial data in the SP in three categories, i.e., base data, thematic data and simulating result data. Base data contain geospatial data, modeled data and scene data. Thematic data contain traction power supply data, engineering affair data, train operation control data. Simulating result data involve data associate with power supply, engineering affair, train operation control and train itself.Subsequently, we designed the organization and access schemes of the spatial data. In order to reduce data redundancy for convenience of data maintenance and eliminating the trouble of other professional management of spatial data to reduce the pressure of other professional management of data, we utilize a centralized and unified management solution to manage all the spatial data in the SP. Because the railway line distributes like a band in geographical space and most of the thematic data lay with the mileage information, we organize and manage the railway thematic data with linear referencing scheme. For the case that other specialties may need to access the data, we use data service solution to meet their needs under the condition that all spatial data has been centralized managed.Furthermore, this paper introduces the processing and maintenance program for transforming heterogeneous data from different sources into homogeneous spatial data. For the circumstance that the thematic data exist in the form of attribute tables and most of them is created with mileage information, we deal with thematic data by using linear referencing tools in ArcGIS. We firstly need to use the railway midline to create a path. Since the rail centerline data is presented in the form of excel table, we write a line calculation program to solve this problem. According the demand for accessing map data and image data, we adopt the program that to create a cache for map service. Finally, we developed a GIS based high-speed railway display system. The system achieves functions of geospatial data loading, attribute information querying and synergistic display of train simulation results. This paper adopts ESRI ArcGIS as platform of spatial data organization and management, uses the ArcSDE geodatabase to manage spatial data, takes ArcGIS Server as tool to release and share data, utilizes ArcEngine to develop the data display system. It uses the spatial data of a high-speed railway line as the test data to carry out data organization, management and display experiments. The results show that it could well meet the requirements of digital simulation platform for high-speed train.
