Land subsidence, also known as ground subsidence or land subsidence. It refersto the phenomenon of the horizontal plane to reduce on the ground surface area. Inorder to effectively control the city ground subsidence, many of the city governmentdepartments every year to invest a lot of human and financial resources on landsubsidence monitoring and statistics. Some cities have established a number of relatedprofessional database. Simple settlement data is not abstract and also intuitiveexpression of the extent of settlement and speed. Therefore, these data are not use ofvalid and scientific analysis. These data implied a lot of knowledge. it is difficult toextract the most of the knowledge only by numerical expression. Therefore, fromwhich to discover knowledge becomes increasingly important.Against this background, thesis synthetic use of the aperture radar interferometryobtained Tianjin region from1995to1999land subsidence observation data for thestudy. Use the ArcGIS technology framework and GIS spatial analysis function ofgeographic information technology to analysis and processing the land subsidenceinformation. This paper using the geographic information platform ArcGIS and MATLAB inorder to research the information on land subsidence. First of all, the status quo theland subsidence research at home and abroad. Secondly, our research data from thevalue into vector data and raster data on using the ArcGIS platform, eg, contour, TIN,three-dimensional display. Use a variety of methods of spatial analysis to study avariety of information on land subsidence, which are provided in the ArcGIS platform. For example: a numerical analysis, two-dimensional analysis, three-dimensionalanalysis. This can make the formation of ground subsidence information to a varietyof expressions and intuitive image of the expression of ground settlement. Again, formore accurate simulation and prediction of ground subsidence change and affect the process, this article based on the analysis of subsidence monitoring data for manyyears make the establishment of the study area land subsidence model, and alsocomplete the model recognition and the changes in trend of to predict the of groundsettlement. Finally, the paper lists the contents, the results obtained and summarizedfor the lack of research. Author also made some suggestions and recommendations forthe study of land subsidence monitoring and prevention.
