Petroleum is one kind of nonrenewable resources. It is the raw material of petrochemical industry and also important strategic supplies, which has a bearing on overall national economic development. With continuous exploitation on oilfield and reduce of newly-found proved reserves, how to enhance the yield of crude oil which takes 60% of primary reserves and can not be exploited with conventional method has become a common concern for all nations.Oil fields’ remaining reserve is the important parameter for exploitation plan making, development analysis, design adjustment and development plan of petroleum industry as well as national economic development. Therefore, it is essential to calculate remaining reserves of oilfield. Tapping the potential of exploitation of remaining oil is one of effective methods to keep stable output in late stage of high water content in oilfield. Therefore, detailed research on present status of remaining oil and its distribution should be done, which has important realistic significance for further exploitation and yield enhancing. Gudao Oil province is one of the essential oil provinces of SLOF, whose crude oil production amount accounts for 15% of the total production of the latter. After more than 30 years’ exploitation, most oilfields have been in the high water content stage or super-high water content stage and it has been more difficult to keep stable production by water flooding. The difficulty of exploitation of newly-found reserves has been increasing year by year and the unbalance between reservation and exploitation is more and more obvious. Oilfield has encountered its top task to enhance EOR efficiency and increase recoverable reserve. Chemical flooding is of small risk and large economic performance, which has been promoted in SLOF to a certain extent. Before using chemical flooding, research on recoverable reserves and remaining oil distribution needs to be done first. Under the principle of combining theory with practice, this Thesis has made deeply analysis on geological situations, present status of exploitation, recoverable reserves and remaining reserves. The main content of the thesis includes the following: 1. The analysis of the geological conditions: to make a detailed analysis of geological conditions before the development of the oil field.2. The analysis of the development status: the important step for the further research of remaining oil distribution and recoverable reserves.3. The research and calculation of the remaining recoverable reserves: to research the range of application and suitable conditions of the computing method of the technically recoverable reserves, integrate them with the practical situation to make it a most reasonable method. To research the range of application and suitable conditions of the computing method of economically recoverable reserves, integrate them with the practical situation to make it a most reasonable method.
