Large forgings is the critical parts and important products of national importanttechnical equipment , it has a enormous influenceon on the national economic construction,national defense technology equipment and the development of the modern advancedscience and technologies. Large forging manufacturing has become one of the keytechnology of national important technical equipment manufacturing, its quality directlyaffects the overall level of heavy industry the sustainable development of nationaleconomy, large-sized forging production capacity, product level and the properties of thequality level is an important symbol of the levels of industrial countries, in large forgingproductions, their internal quality control is technical difficult problem becasue it alwaysdirectly affects its use of performanceFor the repairation of the large forgings internal hole defect, on the analyzing defectsof the JTS, a new mothed about repair internal defects of large forgings–four-anvil JTS.Take the manufacture process of the large engine rotor in one heavy machinery plant forexample, the Four-Anvil JTS is used to make and optimize the forging process.This paper analyzes the main parameters of the forging effect of compaction of theFour-anvil JTS, placed in the center hole of large forgings in the configuration of variousprocess parameters on the repair using finite element software on DEFORM-3Dsimulation, the contact friction between billet and mold plays a major effection in thecompaction, side plat’s pressure angle should not be slected too great, if not, it will makethe billet’s elongation ratio increasing, so it unfavorable for the compactiong of hole. Withthe help of the orthogonal simulation method to determine the best combination ofFour-Anvil JTS’s process parameters, and compared with the traditional JTS aboutcompaction effect, basis on this, this paper analysises of the Four-Anvil JTS’s advantagesabout the hole defect compaction. Finally, thise paper takes the help of experiment toconfirm the exnumerical simulation exactly, at the same time, the experiment provide’spractical basis for projects’application.
