Over the past decade, brazed monolayer diamond tools have made a continues development. Inthe manufacturing process of difficult-to-mechaine materials, compared with traditional diamondtools it shows excellent performance. The high hard-brittle materials are difficult to process. Thisarticle attempts to do some research on fine-grained diamond brazing process, in order to preparefine-grained diamond brazing tools for high hard-brittle materials surface precision machining process.Fine-grained diamond abrasive particle size is extremely small. Its character is different from that ofcoarse-grained diamond. Based on modern physical and chemical analysis methods, the study changesthe method and obtains a new method named "twice brazing".The main creative contents in this paper are summarized as follows:(1) Under modern process conditions, surface morphology of brazed fine-grained diamond toolsis observed and analyzed, after which the idea of the second brazing process is proposed. Based onthe traditional methods of brazing process parameters, author gradually improves the fine-graineddiamond brazing surface morphology. Abrasive surface of the solder layer are densely distributed. Bythe fine-grained diamond wettability study, author made improvements.(2) It’s analyzed that the surface morphology of brazed diamond by the means of modernphysical and chemical analysis. It’s concluded that abrasive is distributed with an equal height.Density and distribution uniformity was observed. In the end, feasibility and advantages of twicebrazing of diamond abrasive are concluded.(3) It’s studied that the spreading and microhardness of the composite filler added with TiCparticles. SEM and EDS are used to detect the microstructure and phase composition betweendiamond and composite filler. Research on wettability between composite filler and diamond wascarried out. Brazing process is studied from three aspects, which are the TiC content, brazingtemperature and holding time. Finally the process is obtained for fine-grained diamond abrasivebrazing with composite filler.
