High efficiency and high accuracy is the main development direction of modern manufacturingindustry, and the degree of precision of manufacturing equipment affects the development of themodern manufacturing industry. Along with the performance requirements of CNC machine tools aremore and more high, using appropriate methods to improve the precision of the machine tool has thevital significance. Error compensation technology is one of the main means for improving theaccuracy of CNC machine tools, and in this paper through the theoretical analysis, software designand experimental validation to achieve space error compensation of machine tools. The specificresearch contents are summarized as follows:The machine tools structure description based on the theory of multi-body system is studied indetail. In considering the influence of the fixture position error, a generic CNC machine tools errorcompensation model has been established according to the position transformation principle of anypoint in the multi-body system. And taking three-axis CNC machine tools as examples, the errormodels of different types of three axis CNC machine tools are calculated out.This paper use the Renishaw laser interferometer to measure the X, Z axis linear displacementerror of the SK-5L14075CNC machine tool. Considering the needs of machine tool errormeasurement, in this thesis,14lines,12lines and9lines comprehensive error identification methodsare compared, and it makes a further analysis of the9lines method of comprehensive erroridentification principle.Through the detailed analysis of four common space error compensation program, this paperpresents a new type error compensation method based on the interpolation data of CNC system. Inaddition, this paper does a further research in the integration of error compensation function and CNCsystem.Based on the analysis of space error compensation method, compensation function andcompensation workflow, this paper designs the software of machine tool space error compensation.According to the communication needs of compensation software and CNC system, this paper designsthe communication interface and data processing module of compensation software and CNC system,and realizes the compensation software expected function of each functional module. In addition, thisthesis realizes the integration of error compensation function and CNC system and it Improve theoverall performance of CNC system.Finally, this paper designs the experiment scheme of space error compensation strategy verification. Through measuring space error of machine tools under two conditions to which are withor without compensation software and CNC system with or without compensation function, it verifiesthe effectiveness of the proposed error compensation model and compensation method.
