With the continuous development of sophisticated technology, the accuracy requirements of CNC gear machines also have increasingly improvement, in recent years, error compensation technology with its strong technical vitality rapid development and promotion, it has become the most important way to improve the machining precision. The error dynamic compensation of CNC machine tools has been included in the national science and technology major projects "high-end CNC machine tools and machine tool manufacturing equipment", it indicates that the Chinese government attaches great importance to numerical control machine tool error compensation technology. Therefore, the study of CNC gear shaper machine error compensation technology has important implications.This article is based on CNC gear shaping machine as the research object, by using multi-body system theory and D-H homogeneous coordinate transformation method, to research the geometric error modeling,error compensation decoupling, error parameter identification and error compensation strategy.First, on the basis of analyzing the CNC gear shaper machine movement characteristics, established its kinetic model, and derive the relationship between the gear shaper cutters and the workpiece. Then, based on the theory of multi-body system, the numerical control gear shaper topology structure is described, to set the CNC gear shaper base coordinate system and the local coordinate system, combined with the kinematics principle of the machine tool error, and derived error model which is described by homogeneous transformation matrix. Contrary to the coupling relationship between error compensation movement (posture error) and error model, based on the small error compensation movement assumptions and differential transformation principle, to decouple the error compensation movement, and obtained the position or orientation of each motion vice error compensation amount that effect shaper machining accuracy. Then based on the laser interferometer, and combined with the research of the structure characteristics of numerical control gear shaper (excluding Y axes of motion), the CNC gear shaper translational axis unit and rotating shaft unit geometric error parameter identification is carried out. Finally, combined with the slotting system hardware platform structure, the numerical control gear shaper geometric error compensation control strategy is proposed based on CNC controller and PC machine.This study is one of the core technologies of the national key scientific and technological projects "the research and development of standard industrialization and the special CNC system of gear machine tool numerical control system", to provide a theoretical basis for the ultimate realization of the gear CNC system error compensation function.
