At present, marine engineering technology and equipment have been developed.Offshore drilling platform is the production base to exploit oil and gas resources under thesea. It is significant for drilling platform to be equipped with reliable and safe controlsystem.This paper takes the sixth generation semi-submersible drilling platform as the researchobject, based on the equipment configuration and automation control system requirementsof the platform, making use of network, database, software and other technology to designthe network structure and system functions of the integrated monitoring system, and therealization of the drilling system monitoring function. The system has the characteristics ofthe wide adaptability and convenient combination. The major work completed as follows:(1) Studied the structure of the semi-submersible drilling platform drilling system;Summary of drilling system, dynamic positioning system, electric power system, the ballastsystem and emergency shutdown system in the offshore drilling platform and the deviceconfiguration of each subsystem. Completed the system function design task of integratedmonitoring in marine drilling platform.(2) Design the integrated monitoring network architecture of a hierarchical networkstructure; Study the integration method of the heterogeneous bus, especially using OPCtechnology.(3) Discussed in detail the main control parameters of drilling system; Analysis of themonitoring parameters, such as the hook load, hook height, pressure of the drill, bit position,the pump stroke; Study the fault alarm and comprehensive judgment of fault information,such as the use of hook load, rotating speed, torque, vertical pressure, displacement andhook height and other parameters to determine whether the card drill.(4) Using Visual Basic6.0, iFIX configuration software to realize the monitoringinterface module, database module, alarm module, real-time curve and the historical curvedisplay module, report form module and query module function of the drilling system.Finally, the use of laboratory LAN, simulation data to test the monitoring function ofdrilling system. The test results show that: the design of this control system availability.
