Most diggings of Shangxi, Shanxi and Neimenggu are located in Loess Hilly Areas, andmore than sixty percent of our country’s coal production comes from these provinces.Topography condition of Loess Hilly Areas is very complicated, Valleys vertical andhorizontal cutting, engineering geological condition is very bad. The Surface subsidence pit,Steps crack, collapse, landslide, well flooding of channel and large area pressure disaster fromroof which caused by large-scale and high-intensive coal mining in this special terrain、geological and coal mining condition. It not only caused serious subsidence, geologicaldisaster and environmental disruption, but also harmful to people’s life and property security.So, it has important scientific significance and application value to study the miningsubsidence disaster evolution process and formation mechanism under this special condition.Based on the analysis of the research status of Loess Hilly Areas,in Feng Jiata coal minetopographic and geological conditions and surface subsidence situation as the background, onthe basis of the analysis of the effect factors collapse disaster, this paper focus on theinfluence of trench slope, direction of extraction and water to the subsidence. Together withFLAC3Danalysis method of numerical simulation, we know the influence which gradient anddirection of extraction brings to slope stability and destruction forms.The paper analysis the relations of the mining position of working face betweenoccurrence of slope collapse、slip、trench subsidence disaster etc. and disaster evolutionaryprocess and characteristics by the method of physics similar material simulation experiment.Application of UDEC numerical simulation software to simulate the process of overlyingstrata movement deformation in the process of working face mining, it revealing the wholeevolutionary process of side slope from fissure’s appearing, expand until collapse damagehappen. Finally, it give the formation mechanism of mining subsidence disaster in gully shallow seam area through result of the physics similar material simulation experiment andUDEC numerical simulation. This paper lay a foundation for the control and prevent ofsubsidence disaster in gully shallow seam area.
