Since polyaniline is one of conductive polymer and has many good characteristicssuch as easy to synthesis, good stability, unique conductive mechanism, so it has beenattented more and more and has a wide fields for application. Since the structuralcharacteristics, polyaniline made itself stiffness, insoluble, refractory the difficulties offorming, limiting its wide application. In order to improve the processing performances of PANI, we modified PANI bymethyl methacrylate (MMA) and prepared silicone-acrylic/PANI composite materials toimprove the dispersion of PANI in solvents and film forming properties. In this paper,we focus on the following aspects:Using solution polymerization, PANI particles processed by the coupling agentstrimethoxy vinyl silane (NQ-71) was modified by MMA, thereby improving itsdispersion. We discuss the effect of reaction temperature, reaction time, ratio of core andshell monomers and amount of coupling agent on properties of the products in thispaper.Structure and properties of the products were characterized by cyclic curve, tafelcurve infrared spectroscopy, UV-visible spectra and four-probe. The results show thatNQ-71can effectively increase the modification efficiency of the MMA on PANI,dispersion stability in solvent of the modified PANI by MMA was better than PANI,thereby improving its corrosion inhibition performance. The organosilicon-acrylic/PANI composite can be prepared by emulsionpolymerization in this paper. We discuss the effect of reaction time, amount ofemulsifier, ratio of monomers, amount of coupling agent and the dosage of initiator tothe properties of composite materials. In addition, using organosilicon-acrylic/PANI composite and PANI materials withpaint were filmed to observe the conditions of surface, then using grid method testedadhesion of the films. The results show that rganosilicon-acrylic/polyaniline compositeshave a similar structure unit and electrical conductivity with polyaniline. The film andadhesion of organosilicon-acrylic/polyaniline composite was significantly higer thanpolyaniline material.
