With the development of technology and the continuous improvement of people’sliving standard, people are increasingly concerned about their own environment.Radioactive contamination, due to the unique characteristics of its colorless, odorless, thedamage to people is very quiet, and add up, and when you reach a certain dose has a lethalhazard. In order to keep abreast of the radionuclides decay caused by pollution, thisrequires specialized instruments to measure. This topic is based on the background of thisapplication.This subject is on the basis of the status quo of research and development at home andabroad, combined with the characteristics and field detection of radon in air measurement,and deals with a portable environment based on scintillation flask method development ofinstrument for measuring radon. This instrument for measuring radon measurementprinciple is to use air pumps to filter air dryer flashing steam inhalation of radon, radon andits progeny the alpha particles emitted by flashes of indoor ZnS (Ag) when the cylinder athigh pressure, produces a photon and eventually converted into a current signal, bymeasuring the radon concentration in the air of these signals. System hardware includepower circuits, high voltage power supply circuit, photomultiplier tube, preamplifier, homeamplifier, discriminator circuit, C8051F series micro-controller, USB communicationcircuit parts.C51language oriented software systems, designed with features likestructured, modular, easy to read and transfer, and gives the program flowchart, and themain program code.The radon measurement instrument with features like portable, low powerconsumption and high efficiency, achieving a good human-computer interaction interface,USB communication, printing, and other functions. The test results of radon monitor system debugging show that the measuring radon measurement data is accurate, stable andreliable.
