In this paper, the technical countermeasure, specific scheme and process of dealing withhard coal roof were studied by the methods of theory and numerical analysis based on themine’s initial design, correlating rule of state’s top coal emitting, combining coal field’ssurrounding rock structure and physical-mechanical properties. The weakening andpre-fractured scheme have been made in according to the coal floor contour line, water andgeology data of Guan Zigou mine’s6102working face. The high productivity and safety coalmining working face that not only advanced quickly but also the top coal emitted in time wererealized, and the harmony, effective and safe operation environment were build up. After theapplication of pre-fractured and weakening, the anticipating effects of high extraction ratio,controlling of gob air leakage and spontaneous combustion have obtained. The main contentsand result are following:(1)The main content and technical route of top coal weakening countermeasure and artsare provided according to the physical and mechanical properties of hard thick coal seam andthe being problems in the course of caving coal.(2)The three ways differences of static breaking, blasting pre-splitting and high pressurewater injection have been particularly discussed and analysed, the result of analysis was thatevery way has limitation. By combining the pre-splitting technologies to the mine’s actualgeological conditions can draw the conclusion that the static pressure softening and blastingpre-splitting mutual promotion would gain the more satisfactory effect.(3)Based on the disadvantage in the real production, hard top coal weakeningcountermeasures were put forward, the weakening arts designing,6102working face’sblasting roadway layout, the weakening scheme of hard top have been finished. The relevantconstruction machines were selected. And drilling hole technological process, charging andblasting arts of weakening hole, hole sealing and detonator connection process have been definitely explained.(4)The industrial test have been carried out between May twenty2009toAugust twenty2009, in the course of trial, the recovery ratio improved9.1%, average monthly outputachieved77493.7tons, maximum daily yield4298tons and direct work efficiency39.6tonsper man-day. The trial gained well safety, technical and economic benefits.
