The sulfur dioxide pollutant derived from coal combustion was a seriousworldwide problem. The total sulfur dioxide emission in China was foremost inthe world.Ca-based sulfur retention sorbent was competitive for controlling theSO2pollutants, due to the low capital and operating costs. But it had someproblems, such as the low using efficiency of Ca-based, sulfate productdecomposing easily during high temperature, leading to the low desulfurizationefficiency. In this thesis, the mechanism of sulfur retention sorbents and influencefactors were discussed.Through thermal analyzer--Infrared spectrometer means of raw coal, sulfurretention sorbent and mixed fuel combustion characteristics were analyzed, andthe different test conditions blended fuel were analyzed, as the Ca-base sulfurretention fixing mechanism provides the basis for further discussion.According to the test of different Ca/S, sulfur retention agent particle sizeand combustion temperature, desulfurization rate with Ca/S increased, but to acertain degree, is not very obvious; sulfur fixation rate with solid sorbentgranularity decreases; desulfurization rate was the highest in the combustiontemperature of900℃, thereafter decreased, this is due to high temperatures causedby CaSO4decomposition. Compared to the Ca/S and sulfur retention agent particlesize, effects of combustion temperature was more important.By three kinds of sulfur retention sorbents on desulfurization rate test, addingCa (OH)2compound sulfur retention sorbent was best. Through the addition ofrare earth oxides of CeO2and NaCl, MgO, Al2O3, Fe2O3, SiO2six kinds ofadditives for sulfur retention sorbent in other conditions were the same fordesulfurization rate test at the high temperature, additives on sulfur retentionsorbents in varying degrees of simulative effect, rare earth metal oxide CeO2under high temperature was the most obvious.
