Centrifuge is a separation equipment. It is mainly composed by rotor, centrifugal chamber, speed detection system, speed control system, temperature measurement system, temperature control system, vacuum control system and vacuum test system. Centrifuge uses the centrifugal force to separate, precipitate, enrich and purify the material which placed on the rotor. The centrifugal force is produced by the rotor with high-speed rotation. In general, the centrifuge which speed is more than 30000r/min is called ultracentrifuge.Health status assessment is analyzing the equipment comprehensively based on measurement data and historical data. Using a variety of comprehensive evaluation methods to assess the health status of equipment. To give the reasons and maintenance recommendations for the unqualified equipment. To provide the basis of maintenance decision of equipment and the technical support of precision maintenance . It is widely used in machines, bridges, military, electric power and other industries. This paper firstly use health status assessment methods to assess the health status of ultracentrifuge.The first step is to get the status parameters of the running ultracentrifuge. Accurate parameters are the basis for the assessment of ultracentrifuge. The system parameters are mainly accessed through four areas: speed detection, vibration testing, temperature testing and vacuum detection.The ultracentrifuge model of health status assessment is referenced to the Open Systems Architecture for Condition-based Maintenance model(OSA-CBM). The common Health status assessment methods are: Modeling, Analytic Hierarchy Process. Fuzzy Evaluation, Artificial Neural Network, Bayesian Network.This paper analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of each method. For the sake of the more accurate assessment system, this paper used the comprehensive evaluation method of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Evaluation. And it gave a detailed description and an example of verification. The method can simplify assessment.In this paper, YAAHP is used to calculate and analyze. Visual Studio 2005 software is used to design real-time status monitoring software of ultracentrifuges. This system can show the real-time status of ultracentrifuges on the computer. If there are potential faults, the system will alarm and show to operator. It can reduce the times of malfunction effectively, and have the regular testing of centrifuge maintenance based on historical data.
