The direction of modern coating industry development tends to be of high-performance, high efficiency, environment-friendly, low pollution, no public harm, energy-saving, which accords with the requirements of sustainable development. The traditional solvent-based coatings cann’t meet the demand of environmental protection, and will be replaced by new water-based coatings, high-solids coatings or powder coatings. Fluorocarbon coatings can reach the demand with their excellent adhesion, weather resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance, antioxidation, low surface energy and resistant tarnished. UV-curing technology is widely used in the coatings industry for its efficient performance.In the dissertation, a water-based UV-cured fluorinated acrylic-polyurethane resin (WUVPFUA) was synthesized and used to prepare waterborne coatings. The cured film was examined through a series of detection means.First, we used two different kinds of fluorinated acrylic monomers to synthesize the two types of high-solids fluorinated hydroxyl acrylic resin (PFA) varying lengths of the branched-chain. A series of different side chains fluorine-contain acrylic with the contene of5-15%fluorine atoms. were synthesised by introducing fluorinated groups in acrylicpolymer. By using the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), we have studied the degree of syntheticresin reaction and the double bonds had completely reaction in the resin, which prove the presence of fluorine atoms:Used the gel permeation chromatography (GPC) to determinate the molecular weight, and it shows its number average molecular weight can be controlled in3000to20000and PDI can be controlled in the1.5-2.0; And we discussed the effect of the dosage and category of solvent, monomer, initiator and reaction temperature.monomer dropping, acid value,for the molecular weight, PDI and resin viscosity and an resin wiscosity. By controlling the weight of resin molecular. PFA couldn’t only be used for fluorine-coataining coatings of high solids and slso could be used as a prepolymer preparation of water-based fluorine-containing UV-cured resin coatings. Make the coating film by the resin with HDI, The film has better comprehensive performance than the conventional acrylic resin coating.On the basis of the fluorine-containing hydroxyl acrylic resin, prepared the functional groups of the isocyanate terminated intermediate by grafting of isocyanate. then make it UV-cured by introducing the hydroxyl acrylic monomer, and introduced the hydrophilic chains in the synthesis process, thus achieving the water-borne. Discussed the grafting and end capping process, coordinate the synthetic resin with light initiator, andinvestigatefilm properties by the UV-curing unit film.There are the following results:1.The infrared analyzer(IR) analysis shows that the urethane or double bond presenced in the synthetic resin has UV-curing activity:2. Thermal gravimetric analysis(TG) found the coating film thermal decomposition are divided into tow stages, the first stage is mainly about acrylate polyurethane structural decomposition; the second phase is mainly about the decomposition of fiuorinated chain period. The heat resistance of the resin has been improved by the introducted of the fluorine atom;3. The introduction of fluorine atoms can increase the contact angle of the risin by used the still water contact angle to test the film surface properties:4. The impact of photoinitiator dosage on the resin curing properties is discussed, the film has the best performance when the amount of photoinitiator is1%.By detecting various performance of cured paint film, we found that a UV-curing waterborne fluorocoatings with the performance of low surface energy, good water and oil repellend, heat resistance and excellent chemical stability of high resistance to contamination has been synthetized.
