With the increase of the volume of China’s municipal solid waste landfill, the environmental problems caused by landfill leachate are becoming increasingly serious. Garbage disposal project in Tianshui City is the largest landfill in Gansu Province, its total landfill is2.45million tons. There are some problems and deficiencies in the design and construction process in Tianshui City landfill. for example, Buried reservoir area did not carry out the sewerage rain, catchment area11400m2area, Tianshui City is located in the southern GanSu province, the average annual rainfall of551mm, which can cause serious environmental pollution Especially in the storm season.There exist a further improve and optimize spaces for this landfill. From the perspective of Environmental Protection, Research programs on the control of leachate reduction and process are necessary.According to this landfill sactual situation, the paper designed programs on the control of leachate reduction and process and elaboratedthe generation mechanism, compositional characteristics, the degree of harm, yield calculation, reduction control measures and treatment process of the landfill leachate.Instead of the original parallel anchor platform in the reservoir area, a horizontal one was designed to control the landfill leachate reduction, which also served as drains. through the implementation of Zoning landfillaccording to every level of the anchoring platform,the leachate was reduced from the source.The article determined to use the empirical formula to estimate leachate production both in the original and the reduction design cases after the comparison of Leachate production method.To improve the leachate recirculaition,the paper did a garbage water-holding experiment to Determine recharge cell and increased Preprocessing facilities.Compared to the original design, new treatment stations were builded to handle the leachate,which used the MBR process and nanofiltration technology.The programs on the control of leachate reduction and process not onlyMaximumly control the environmental pollution caused by leachate, but also can Bring enormous social and environmental benefits.
