This paper introduce that take PAC,which has excellent turbidity removal performance, combined with mineral resource attapulgite with properties of adsorption and decoloring as a flocculant to adopt flocculation treatment on wastewater which was polluted by heavy metal such as copper. the turbidity and copper removal efficiency about attapulgite modified by hydrochloric acid mixed PAC, has been studied and compared with that of dosing PAC only. The result shows that:①On the aspect of the removal efficiency of turbidity and copper, mixtures of attapulgite and PAC compared with the separate addition of PAC has a slight increase.②The pH value, addition sequence and other factors greatly influence the copper and turbidity removal efficiency. The pH has great influence on the turbidity removal efficiency.③The removal efficiency of copper of attapulgite modified by hydrochloric acid with PAC is slightly better than unmodified attapulgite with PAC, but the dosage was decreased obviously.④Different size and soil and water than of attapulgite and PAC mixtures have great influence on the on the removal efficiency of turbidity and coppe.
