Components working accuracy is one of the most important attributes in allproduction process, which influences the product’s performance and the qualityimmediately. Along with the requirements for the products are getting higher andhigher, the modern products tend to pocket-sized and precision day by day,therefore the components working accuracy is requested higher and higher.Error compensation is a method which control the components workingaccuracy through a feedback control to the processing system. This methodenhance the components working accuracy through carrying on the examinationto the processing error and making corresponding adjustment to the system in theprocessing process.The examination precision also plays the very vital role in theerror compensation technology besides the own error compensation model. Thisarticle summarized the insufficiency of the present domestic and foreign errorcompensation technology and the examination technology,proposed one kind ofnew error compensation technology—components working accuracy PID controlmodel. We established the NC turning closed loop manufacture system throughcarrying on analysis to the NC turning process and the mathematical model ofthe components working accuracy PID control model with the classics PIDcontrol theory.A set of on-machine measurement system has been developed forthe working accuracy’s controlled process of the slender axis in the NC lathe.The entire NC processing system was treated as a closed-loop controlsystem in the components working accuracy PID control model, the accumulatederrors which caused by each NC processing link were regarded as the system’sdeviation. The deviation was carried on the proportion, the integral and thedifferential adjustment according to the PID control principle, the output signal after the PID controller adjustment was treated as the error compensation signalto the NC processing system making corresponding adjustment.On-machine measurement system of the error compensation was a set ofsoftware routine drawing support from the C++Builder6.0software developmentplatform development.The DT3010electricity whorl position escaping sensorproduced by German MICRO-EPSILON Company is used as the examinationsystem’s gauge head, sensor’s output signal is handled by the simulation quantityload module and the serial port communication, and then carried on theconnection with the computer.And then the error compensation signal can beobtained through corresponding processing of the sensor’s output signal and theonline examination system software.After making corresponding adjustment tothe system, the system can generate the NC procedure. In order to confirm thevalidity of the components working accuracy PID control model,a group ofcomparative trial of processing the slender axis on the NC lathe are carried withthe aid of the on-machine measurement system.Through the contrastive analysisof tentative data, the components working accuracy PID control model is provedcan enhance the slender axis the working accuracy obviously.
