Wetland, as one of the world’s three major ecosystems, is of various unique features by interaction of terrestrial ecosystems and hydrosphere ecosystems, as well as extremely important environmental ecosystem for human survivals. But in recent years, with the industrial restructuring and accelerated pace of urbanization, a series of issues inharmonious with the development of ecological construction come into being, such as rapid deterioration of water quality, increased soil erosion, the tremendous change in the living environment of wetland resources, the shrinking wetland area year by year, species diversity crisis, etc, which leads to the seriously slow pace on the sustainable development of wetland resources.This article built on the field investigation of the status quo aims to establish the health assessment standard of the lake wetland ecosystem and to evaluate the lake wetland ecosystem in Wuhan city. In view of the evaluation results, this study presents some recommendations and measures for the wetland ecosystem health protection of the city, which is of practical significance for the establishment of the energy-efficient, environment-friendly society.The whole paper consists of four parts:The first part is an introduction offered research background and significance, a summary of the research progress at home and abroad on the health of ecosystem and the assessment on the health of the wetland ecosystem, as well as the research contents, methods and technical route.The second part focuses on the basic concepts on the wetland, ecosystem health, ecosystem health of lakes and wetlands.The next part deals with the construction of the ecosystem health evaluation index system in line with the characteristics of the ecosystem health of lake wetlands. More specifically, this part is supposed to indicate the theory of the evaluation index, the principles of the evaluation index selection, as well as the ecological significance of those selected indicators.The third part proceeds with the evaluative research on the health of lake wetlands ecosystem in Wuhan city as an example. By means of the statistical yearbook review, field research, data collection, an evaluation and analysis of the status of lakes wetland in Wuhan will be illustrated. The evaluation of the health of lake wetlands ecosystem in Wuhan is made by the use of analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of21indicators and the second fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. Based on the evaluation results and current situations in the city, this part provides the rehabilitative and protective measures to the health of lake wetlands ecosystem.The fourth part is the concluding remarks concerned with the results, the limitations of this study. Research results show that:Wuhan Lake wetland ecosystem health evaluation of the comprehensive evaluation value is0.5428, which belongs to general state in accordance with the lake wetland ecosystem health assessment grade.
