Evaluation On International Importance Wetlands Ecosystem

Wetlands, which is known as “the kidney of the earth”, forests and oceans together are called as three ecological systems of the world. Wetland ecosystem appraisal is the focus of scientific research in the current world, and it is also the basis of wetland conservation, which contributes to mastering wetland ecosystem health, function, value status, characteristics and providing a scientific basis for making decisions of wetland conservation work. In this paper, we take Hekou National Nature Reserve as an example which is in Shuangtai, Liaoning, and then use indexes system method to evaluate the health, functions and values of wetlands ecosystem. The study is based on using AHP to determine the weight of evaluation index as health, function, and apply the method of qualitative and quantitative as laboratory tests, questionnaires, etc. to appraise the health, function of the international important wetland ecosystem in Hekou, Shuangtai, Liaoning.Meanwhile, the study used the market price method, expense payment method, carbon tax method,manufacturing costs, shadow engineering method, achievements parameter and so on to estimate the value of wetland ecosystems. Also, according to the applicability of the index system and in order to improving the science, representativeness and integrity of the index system, the author makes several recommendations. The results of the study are as follows:The evaluation results indicate that overall health index of the international important wetland ecosystem was 6.58 in Hekou, Shuangtai, Liaoning, and the level of healthiness is medium. In the scope of international importance wetlands, there is no soil pollution, no invasive species violations, and the area of wetland remains stable, which play an important role in maintaining the long-term health of ecosystem. The evaluation results indicate that overall function index of the international important wetland ecosystem was 7.93 in Hekou, Shuangtai,Liaoning, and the level of function is good, which has a significant effect on eco-tourism and scientific research, ecological education. The total value of wetland ecosystem is 158.809 billion yuan per year, which is of great useful values of providing wetlands products, entertainment and decontamination. Value per unit area of wetland is 135.2 thousand yuan / hm2 ? year, with significant social, ecological and economic value.
