Roll forming is a kind of effective sheet metal forming process, which is suitable for product scale manufacture technology development because it can be continuous production. With the strength improve, high strength steel forming is more difficult, especially large quantities springback. Because of the later research and complex forming process, summary of springback law is not perfect. Strengthen the study of roll forming is particularly important.This paper was based on a ultra-thin galvanized sheet, got0.3mm0.48mm and0.6mm of thickness of the main material parameters through the uniaxial tensile test. One wave plate finite element model was established to simulate forming process, and summarized the forming characteristics and got the stress strain characteristics. Based on the finite element model, the orthogonal experiment was designed to analyze roll forming property in0.3mm,0.48mm and0.6mm thickness, especially the springback characteristics. It obtained4factors influence springback degree from range analysis of the simulation results. The effect of different thickness is the largest, followed by the corner radius, forming speed and number is smaller effect. In a certain range, reduce the corner radius and forming speed, adds pass number and thickness of plate can control the springback quantity.0.3mm and0.6mm thickness plate relative to the influence of the corner radius is analyzed, which got the regularity between relative angular radius and the springback angle.Based on three waves plate model, the simulation was analyzed.firstly, the springback characteristics of the medium and the lateral wave was summarized. Secondly, based on three layer entity unit three wave plate model,the roll forming process was analyzed in detail, Discussed the the stress and strain condition at forming roll and the anterior region of roll, which was compared with the side wave stress and strain condition, thereby to get a better understanding of the plate forming characteristics. Thirdly, the three wave plate model was optimizated. The result is edge distortion improved significantly, Springback is control effectively as well.
