Quantitative detection for material with high precision and high resolution has become the tendency of modem industrial non-destructive testing technology, and it ensures precise non-destructive evaluation for modern industrial equipment. In recent years, ultrasonic phased array inspection technology has become the hot research area of the field of non-destructive testing.The ultrasonic phased array inspection technology is an advanced automatic testing technology, which can control the each chip in ultrasonic transducer according to focus law to change synthetic wave flexibly and control focus position easily. The system of ultrasonic phased array has many functions such as dynamic focusing, electronic scanning, sector canning, making it suitable for detecting complex-shaped object with high inspection sensitivity.Basing on research of principle of ultrasonic phased array emitting and receiving technology, the master control panel of the ultrasonic phased array system is designed on FPGA developing platform. This master control panel has the following functions:complete ultrasonic phased array focus algorithm, whole delay data of the16th channel’s pulse; three kinds of ultrasonic phased array scanning mode (sector scanning, depth focusing and manual positioning); control of each channel’s delay pulse to achieve the focusing of ultrasonic beam, parallel sampling of each channel, delay compensation of the echo signal, analysis of the beam, and transmission of data to the PC by USB2.0.This thesis gives a detailed description of the master control panel of the ultrasonic phased array system, and does the simulation of each module, including the following content:communication module, bus control module, algorithm module, scanning module, delay pulse module, delay compensation module, A/D sampling control module, synthesized beam module and high-speed cache module. Finally, this thesis makes the error analysis between the algorithm of ultrasonic phased array based on FPGA and the theoretical value.In a word, this dissertation lays the foundation for further studies of ultrasonic phased array system. It possesses certain referential value for system design and implementation.
