With the continuous development of society, the transportation is also in constant development. Railroad is our country focus on the development of the infrastructure. The railway of the future will be towards high speed, heavy industrialization and modernization development in three areas. Rail and rail are connected through welding technology to make them connected together,and overlap will appear in the interface between the two rail.These overlap can to reduce the running resistance, increase the running speed of the trains, locomotives vehicle life, reduce line maintenance and repair costs for passengers to provide a smooth and comfortable travel conditions have a negative influence. Single rail length is only25meters or100meters, and it must be weld through a plurality of rail welding technology to be500meters long steel rail, refiner make joints flatness requirement.Therefore, Rail grinding machine swing system structure design and swing control system design for railway development in China is of great significance.This paper focuses on the Numerical Control rail mill overall layout, the structure of swing system and design of hydraulic transmission system. In the design process of Numerical Control rail refining mill overall plan, the main considerations are these several aspects which are the machine frame,go driving and machine body protection, cross beam, vertical feed system and pendulum system, electrical control system and hydraulic transmission system, and the dust removing devices. The design of the Numerical Control rail grinding machine servo system for swing structure mainly includes the swing system of transmission scheme design and each drive form and size determination. Layer analysis of rail grinding including grinding object analysis, the grinding method analysis and grinding process analysis of three parts; In the control system, the swing mechanism adopts the large torque three-phase hybrid stepping motor. Through the PLC control system sends a different number and different frequency pulse complete the rotation angle of the stepping motor and speed control.Finally the swing machanism can operate with different angles and different speed.Based on the above research, this paper design of the swing system structure design and it’s control system are in accordance with predetermined requirements, which will change the backward, inefficient rail grinding technology, what’s more what I have done makes the rail grinding machine can be transported safely and stably running.
