Al-Mg-Si6082alloy is high-quality aluminum alloy, and has medium strength, good weldability, and a broad range of applications. The main connecting method of aluminum alloy is welding and the welding residual stress and deformation are inevitably produced in the welding. Welding is a complicated physicochemical process which involves in electromagnetism, melting, freezing and heat transferring and so on. Because of the complexity of welding process, the research weld process produce hot and stress-strain through traditional method of experiment is very difficulty. Hence, the numerical simulation of the temperature field and the stress field of Al-Mg-Si6082alloy on MIG welding not only provide the theoretical basis for optimizing welding parameters, regulating, controlling and preventing the welding residual stress and deformation, but also direct production. In this paper, the butting joint of flat plate and corner joint of Al-Mg-Si6082alloy is chosen as research object, the temperature field and stress field of the multi-pass welding are simulated using the ANSYS software. The authors draw the conclusions as followings.1、As to the analysis of temperature fields, Dual Ellipsoid heat source, is used to simulate the welding heat cycle, taking into account the thermal properties of material parameters with temperature changes, the phase transition temperature effects and Metal-filled of Welding Seam. The calculation results are a better temperature distribution of Aluminum alloy MIG welding on heat affected zone.2、On the basis of the thermal elastic dynamics, the writer calculated the dynamic simulation of weld stress field using the indirect method with the temperature field calculation results. And the evolution of the longitudinal and transverse stress on the Welding Seam was analyzed. The stress field of Al-Mg-Si6082alloy on MIG welding is complicated and changeable. The welding residual stresses are tensile on welding seam. The value of longitudinal residual stresses, the max welding residual stresses, are larger than the yield limit of Al-Mg-Si6082alloy. And the vertical residual stresses are so larger than transversal residual stresses that must not be neglected. 3、The deformations of Al-Mg-Si6082alloy MIG welding are larger. The results of residual deformation compared with measurements, the writer found that there is a few difference, and variation trend also looked very alike.
