More and more household garbage is one of commonly-concerned problem that human faced, it influences the coordinated development of population, resource and environment. The rubbish in our country has complex components, high water content, high garbage ratio and high combustible component ratio. If the combustible part can be separated and made into RDF with biomass, the RDF would have high thermal value, good physical property, and could even be incinerated directly. Through this method, the principle of‘recycle, reuse, and reduce’can be followed, and the RDF can be used instead of fossil fuel. Kill two birds with one stone.Based on the garbage source classification problem in our country, Professor Rundong Li, Shenyang Aerospace University, proposed a garbage material classification method, carried on research on a pilot system for RDF preparation from source garbage in Luzhi town of Suzhou, and established a demonstration project of RDF production. In this article, the research focuses on the garbage pretreatment (including the qualitative change before & after garbage separation and machine sorting), garbage broken molding, and the difference of products in the demonstration project. In the end, comprehensive research is made on the feed source, local requirement, energy cost in the practical production process, and economic benefit analysis, through which, RDF production from source garble separation is proved feasible.Gasification characteristic experiments of RDF were made with TG-DTA analyzer. Gas yield characteristics with different material rate, heating heat, atmosphere, final temperature and influence of RDF gasification characteristics were analyzed. Kinetics of gasification was researched and the parameters were obtained. Burning experiments in power plant with mixture of product 20tRDF in demonstration project and coal were made, and the combustion gas was monitored. Finally, the average emission concentration of smoke in exhaust gas is 30.8 mg/m~3, SO2 210 mg/m~3, NO_x 360 mg/m~3, dioxin 0.021 ngTEQ/Nm~3, all of which meet the national standards.Finally, according to the software GaBi which based on the life cycle assessment, RDF traditional preparation method and source separating preparation method were evaluated. These two process flow were analyzed. Process material and energy were input. Finally, according to the characterization factors of impact assessment, the final environmental impact load value is figured out. The conclusion is that: the emission of RDF source separation preparation process is reduced by more than 40% than traditional process on the environmental impact load value.
