Urban heat island is the characterization of the impact human caused in theecological environment. It is directly related to the comfort of the city people and itcauses the impact of the global climate change. Studying the impact of urban heat islandhas important practical significance on releasing the impact of urban heat island,reasonable management of urban planning to promote the city the stable, efficient andsustainable development.Land surface temperature (LST)is an important factor of the urban heatresearch.With the in-depth study of urban thermal environment, how to monitoring andcalculating LST is more and more important. Supported by RS and GIS, the paperselected the Jinan stoves city as representative area to studying the inversion of LST byremote sensing image of MODIS of three Period , which is in a rapid development ofurbanization: By the inversion theory, the paper studied distributional characteristics andVariations of Urban Heat Island; then the mechanisms of UHI variation are also explored.The main content of the article are as follows:(1) On the basis of learning-related books, literature and previous studies, Thearticle introduce the theory of the urban heat island effect and study the pros and cons ofthe various research methods.(2) The article introduce the characteristics of the MODIS data and use remotesensing analysis software for processing images,include data filtering and data projectors,multi-band fusion to the clouds, to remove the "bow" phenomenon and geometriccorrection.(3) The article inversion the surface temperature through the IDL programminglanguage and two-factor model.(4) 20 pieces of temperature data are used for temporal and spatial changes of theurban heat island,include the average distribution of the heat island, interannualvariability, seasonal variation analysis, analysis of changes in the form of differentweather and summer heat island spatial variation.(5) The article extract Jinan City NDVI distribution maps, population, and the greencoverage data, urban construction land use data and get the analysis of the relationshipbetween the proportion of heat island index and NDVI, population density, green coverage, etc.The article study formation mechanism of urban heat island and proposemitigation countermeasures of urban heat island.The main results are as follows:(1) In Various counties and cities of Jinan City,Zhangqiu city and Five districtsincluded in the urban areas are heat centers, all regions show the word of "δΈ€"heating-island region distribution pattern,and Zhangqiu City is the largest area of strongheat island.(2) The features of UHI in summer is the strongest in Jinan City, spring is thenext.In autumn and winter, most regions were in weak UHI. by studying UHI in thesummer,it is found that the strength of UHI in 2003 is the smallest. with the process ofurbanization, the area of strongest UHI was also increase. in all the regions in JiNan City,Five districts included in the urban areas is always the biggest strong UHI area. A smallamount of cloud systems occurs, the cloud and the temperature of the cloud location willbe quite different, cloud systems have a certain role in promoting the formation of heatisland. Heat island distribution are different in the different time of the summer day.(3) The paper study the cause analysis by using land use map ,the urban expandedarea and NDVI layout map and come to a conclusion that the expand of urban is thedirect reason, NDVI can reflect the strength of HLTI to a certain extent. The relation ofUHI and NDVI is inverse Korrelation,and positive Korrelation with the populationdensity.
