Global warming is one of the most enormous chanllenges human beings are having to deal with.As a result, the discussion about CO2 emissions is becoming raging. With the development of China’s international trade growing faster, the CO2 emissions embodied in trade are rocketing. This paper analyses China’s CO2 emissions embodied in trade, thus digging out how international trade affecting the CO2 emissions, aiming at providing useful suggestions for the policies. The paper consists of five parts. In the introduction part the paper mainly discusses the background and significance of CO2 emission in international trade,at the same time put forward the unique research concerntration of the paper on the basis of the summarizing the existing research at home and abroad. The theoretical basis of the CO2 emissions in international trade mainly described the development of the the CO2 emissions in international trade and the reason why the research is becoming hot. Becides,it also consists of a detailed description of the input-output method. Then the paper mainly discussed the reason and the threats to China of the great CO2 emissions in China’s international trade thus giving us a glance at the overall characteristics of carbon emissons in China..On the basis of which the paper using outpput-input table empirically decribes the impact of international trade on China’s national emissions, with a particular focus on China’s carbon intersive sectors. Finally, based on the former analysis, the paper put forward a few recommendations about how to reduce the embodied carbon emission.
