Study On Toxic Smoke Inhalation Effect Of Towel And Power-cutting During Fire

This paper utilizes investigations and studies primarily, the experimental confirmation has carried out the research for the auxiliary technical route. Based on the investigation results about fire safety escape methods of our country and overseas, combination with the analysis on the typical fire cases as well as the recent years domestic and foreign related fire effluents toxicity and the smoke spread characteristic research achievements, emphasized on the comparison study of smoke inhalation effects between the wet towel and dry towel. And adopted the expert’s workshop and the experimental verification and so on many kinds of ways has carried on the analysis and the research regarding the power cutting during fire. Summarization had been obtained about the topics on the wet towel is better than the dry towel on the smoke inhalation, and the reasonable fire safety escape methods during fire, summarized the safety escape method during fire.About the smoke inhalation effect comparison between dry towel and wet towel, especially toxic fire effluents inhalation, this article designed two sets of tests to verify, one is using GA132experimental device to measure several typical fire gas extraction and concentration of toxic gas by adsorption of dry and wet towels after, the second is the use of GB8627test device, measurement of smoke soot from combustion of several typical building products in through the smoke density change after dry and wet towels. Test results indicate that the fire escape to take advantage of towel or handkerchief cover your nose and will help to reduce the inhalation of toxic fumes or smoke, wet towels on smoke inhalation effects more than dry towels.Study on the power-cutting problem during fire, this paper mainly used investigation and research on combination of seminars of experts, and design of the standard tests and fire simulation tests for verification. Through research came to a conclusion as follows:Should not switch out blindly in fire power, especially not power lighting. Really necessary to switch out of power, power off switch out must be implemented by professionals; Buildings with fire control room, you should power-cutting based on the requirement of National code for design of fire automatic alarm system; When the fire broke out, public occupancy, such as public gathering places, residences, the power-cutting decision should be made by the fire commander after the fire brigade arrived.
