Research On The Home Fire Emergency Self-Help Escape Product Design

In recent years, as the market economy develops quickly, home environment decorationis increasingly comfortable and upscale, kinds of electrical appliances are growing, and usedfrequently, combined with weak awareness of residents fire escape, causing a high incidentsof home fire and the number of death increased sharply. In face of fire, little fire protectionproducts are designed specially for the home family and penetration rate is very low.Preliminary investigation shows that the foreign emergency self-help industry has developedto a high level, and the residents’ awareness of fire escape is much higher than Chinese family,penetration of such products is also high, therefore, China’s emphasis on fire self-escapeproducts design should be raised up. At the same time of popularizing escape awareness ofresidents, it is necessary to intensify efforts to design such products. In this context, designinga set of fire self-escape equipments specially for home use can effectively help persons indistress to escape and reduce casualties. The research centers in a home fire self-help escapesupplies, from perspective of behavior psychological reaction of people, the elements of theproduct design and associated with the family environment when the fire broke out, identifydesign issues according to the fire self-help escape equipment design status, then proposesolutions. In the technical conditions of the existing fire-fighting supplies, from perspective ofthe fire self-help products function, morphology, ease of use and users’ need, we improve withinnovative design in a certain extent. And explore versatile and easy used self-help escapeproducts for home fires, provide a practical product design architecture and basic theory ofplatform. On the basis of theoretical studies, propose a comprehensive product designprogram of self-help escape products to prove the final conclusion of this research.
