Known as “black gold” of the21st century,carbon fiber materials arewidely used in sports、aviation、automotive、defense and other fields,becauseof its excellent physicochemical and mechanical properties. Carbon fibermaterials contain a large number of O and N functional groups,whichcontribute to the superior surface of potential energy and hydrophilic and goodbiological affinity.They show a broad prospect in wastewater treatment.The first objective of the study is as follow:polyacrylonitrile activatedcarbon fiber (PAN-ACF) was used as the biocarrier to treat simulatedwastewater in order to achieve the requirements of advanced treatment andupgrade of the sewage treatment plant. By changing HRT、R and influentpollutant load,the capacity of advanced treatment and anti-impulsion werefocused on as well as biological affinity and regeneration of PAN-ACF.Theresults suggested that removal effiency of COD can reach90%when HRT wasonly2h. Under normal load COD and NH4+-N of effluent met level Aemission standard(GB18918—2002) and surface water type Ⅲ(GB3838-2002), when HRT was8h and12h,respectively. MINCODandMINNH4+-Nwere17.60mg/L and0.37mg/L, respectively when HRT was12h.When HRT was8h, reflux rate was200%removal effiency of TN can also achieve60%,which was the same as that of HRT of12h,reflux rate of0%.Removal load of COD and NH4+-N were4.36kg/m3·d and0.14kg/m3·d atmost when influent concentration of COD and NH4+-N rase up to1600mg/Land140mg/L,respectively at15℃.In addition, the biocompatibility andregenerability performance of PAN-ACF was good in the experiment thatcould load a layer of dense biofilm with certain strength and elasticityincluding the symbiotic ecosystem of filamentous bacteria、cocci and bacilli asthe main,as well as ciliated class protozoa、 rotifers、 nematodes、 fewcaterpillars and other metazoan. PAN-ACF also played well on regenerationperformance.The second objective of the study is as follow: as ecological base,PAN-ACF was used to strengthen the natural oxidation pond in theexperimental of ectopic repair of the contaminated river in order to provideparameters for the river training works. The results suggested that NH4+-Nremoval efficiency of intermittent aeration pan-oxidation pond was thebest.when HRT was36h, the amount of aeration was0.4m3/min, COD、NH4+-N and TP removal efficiencies of intermittent aeration pan-oxidationpond were28.77%、59.85%and16.19%,respectly; COD、NH4+-N and TPremoval efficiencies of natural reoxygenation pan-oxidation pond were17.46%、30.44%and15.91%,respectly.when HRT was48h,the amount of aeration was0.4m3/min,COD、NH4+-Nand TP removal efficiencies of intermittent aeration pan-oxidation pond were 22.03%、63.20%and26.82%,respectly; COD、NH4+-N and TP removalefficiencies of natural reoxygenation pan-oxidation pond were15.56%、30.47%and12.62%,respectly.This indicates that the pan-oxidation pondstrengthened by aeration and PAN-ACF is a feasible technique for thepurification of polluted river.
