Nano material is the floorboard of the material which consisted of ultrafine particles thatsize smaller than100nm (1-100nm) and has small size effect of zero dimension,one-dimensional, two-dimensional, three-dimensional, nanometer ultramicro particle,nanometer block material and nano composite materials are included. The nanometer materialthat consisted of Nanoscale particles (or phase) has small size, surface and interface, quantumsize, macroscopic quantum tunnel novelty effect, and provided new opportunities for physics,chemistry, mechanics, materials science, biology, bionics interdisciplinary development. Inrecent years, drilling fluid technology is developing rapidly, nano science and technologyapplication field are also constantly expanded. So it has become one of the research hotspotsto improve drilling fluid performance by adding nano particles into drilling fluid.Nanometer zinc oxide is a highly functional inorganic chemicals, widely used in rubber,cosmetics, the paint industry and other fields. But the study of Combined ultrafine particleswith drilling fluid technology to change the drilling fluid property by using unique function ofultrafine particles has just begun. Therefore, this paper has important significance on thedevelopment of drilling fluid technology.Nanometer oxide is widely used in the rubber, plastic, paint, textile, ceramics due to itsstable physical and chemical properties under high temperature and high pressure. Thepreparation method of ultrafine flake zinc oxide particles and acicular zinc oxide ultrafineparticle and its influence of drilling fluid performance are mainly studied in this paper.The drilling fluid performance is affected by many factors, including ultrafine particles,especially the influence of convective degeneration. But the ultrafine particles for drillingfluid performance influence mechanism still needs to be explored in depth. The mechanism ofthe influence of Super fine particle on the drilling fluid performance will be analyzed in thispaper.
